The shaker inspired hallway coat stand is shown below in a clients hallway being put to good use. The painted version fits into the overall look of the existing woodwork with its simple lines and pared down uncluttered aesthetic. The practical slatted shoe rack works well and the two full width rails with turned pegs provide functional unfussy coat and hat hanging. Our client was very pleased with their purchase.

The Interior Designers Sophie and Simone at Owl Design in London recently approached me and asked if they could feature a short interview on their blog. Naturally I was willing to help and the article can be seen at http://www.owldesign.co.uk/#!Meet-the-Designer-Andrew-Carpenter-Design/c19k2/56df146d0cf267d0f2d532f8

We are currently developing a new hallway coat stand available in several widths. Has progressed from design stage on paper to first prototype.

Originally designed and made for a client in a London apartment we are now offering this solid oak hallway bench with coat and shoe rack as a standard item. It is available in four widths from 1m to 1.3m wide. At only 35cm deep it will fit even narrow hallways making it extremly practical. Naturally it has handmade and has high quality joints that are built to last.
